On April 14, a workshop on occupational needs analysis was delivered under the project auspices in Zakarpattya Region. 

The workshop was targeted at acquainting the representatives of pilot vocational schools, regional education departments, regional employment centres and other skills training system stakeholders with new methodologies of conducting occupational needs analysis for skills training/retraining based on active employer involvement.

This workshop is the first in a whole series of regional workshops which will create the basis for further improvements in the development and delivery of training/retraining programs.

As the result of the workshop, pilot vocational training institutions received knowledge and practical skills regarding occupational needs analysis in vocational education and training. During the next two weeks, the pilot vocational schools will use the obtained skills to conduct occupational needs analyses in their respective priority program areas as identified by the regional strategic plans.
