The first meeting of the Regional Advisory Group took place on February 17 in Uzhgorod. This advisory group was formed on the basis of the regional strategic planning working group that was responsible for developing the regional skills retraining improvement strategy. This advisory group has the following main objectives:

• facilitating effective dialogue among various regional skills training stakeholders;
• coordination of the efforts of regional and local government, training instiutions, civil society organizations and technical assistance proejcts as well as other stakeholders of the regional skills training system;
• identification of problems in vocational education and training and development of strategic recommendations/approaches to their solution;
• identification and dissemination of innovative methodologies and approaches in vocational education and training;
• support in the development and implementation of project activities and initiatives in Zakarpattya Region.
