On December 9, 2005 on invitation of the DMSTP a coordination meeting of projects dealing with skills training reform was held at the DMSTP office, at Khreshchatyk, 4/17. The meeting was attended by project managers and key experts of

DMSTP - Ihor Ilko, Gennadiy Rusanov and Oksana Danyliv;

EU/TACIS-funded project on Strengthening Regional VET Management -  Agnes Wollschlaeger, Team Leader and Alouis ter Haar, key expert;

EU/TACIS-funded project on System of Continuing Education at the Workplace - Dimitrios Vassiliou, Team Leader;

Ukrainian Modular Training Center (supported by UNDP and ILO) - Vasyl Koval, Director.

Participants of the meeting presented their projects, highlighted potential areas of cooperation. In particular an agreement was reached to maintain an ongoing exchange of information between the projects in order to coordinate activities and find ways to jointly work in certain areas. Decentralized Management of Skills Training in Ukraine and Strengthening Regional VET Management projects agreed to coordinate their activities in the common pilot region - Dnipropetrovsk.

The next coordination meeting was scheduled for second half of January 2006.
