October 26, 2007 the first meeting of an Advisory Group on developing a system for improving the quality of skills training took place in the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The participants included representatives from the Ministry, the State Employment Centre, the Central Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, NGOs, and the projects experts (15 participants).

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to coordinate the efforts of all organizations and experts involved in vocational education in order to develop and implement common methodologies and approaches that would improve the skills training system. The participants were acquainted with the Ministry’s Decree “On Establishing an Advisory Group on developing a system for improving the quality of skills training”; a model for future activities of the Advisory Group was agreed upon.
