The micro – projects competition for gender and social equity groups in the skills training system and retraining of unemployed people was completed. The project received 13 proposals from interested NGO’s from Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne and Zakarpattya regions. The following key topics were identified as the priority for this competition: issues related to people with disabilities, gender issues and women’s rights’ protection, ethnic minorities etc.

As a result of the Experts’ Board meeting, held on June 19, 2007, the following micro – projects were selected and supported: “Computer education for the citizens with movement imparities and other socially disadvantaged citizens” (Rivne Municipal Community of Citizens with Movement Imparities; NGO); “Creation of conditions and access to IT education for disabled people in Zakarpattya”(on the basis of the Zakarpattya regional center for social and work rehabilitation and professional orientation “Choice” (Zakarpattya Regipnal Center for Social and Work Rehabilitation and Professional Orientation “Choice”, NGO); “Creation of the center for professional orientation of the Roma people in Zakarpattya” (Zakarpattya Regional Community “Romani Chgib”, NGO) and “Education and employment – integration of people with special need in the society” (All-Ukrainian Union of NGOs “Confederation of organizations of disabled people in Ukraine”, Dnipropetrovs’k branch).

The Expert’s Board consisted of the representatives of the State Employment Centre, Central Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Community Council of Vocational Education of Ministry of Education and Science and project staff.
